Athyrium filix-femina var. californicum.  SOUTHWESTERN LADY FERN.  Perennial.  White Mountains of Apache County [K&P;].

Cystopteris bulbifera.  BULBET BLADDER FERN.  BULBLET BLADDER FERN.  Perennial.  West Fork of Oak Creek, Coconino County [K&P;].  West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon of Coconino County [DP-21(1)].

Cystopteris fragilis var. fragilis.  BRITTLE BLADDERFERN.  Perennial.  Northern Hualapai Mountains, Mohave County [JANAS-24/25].

Cystopteris reevesiana (=Cystopteris fragilis var. tenuifolia).  SOUTHWESTERN BRITTLE FERN.  REEVES’ BLADDERFERN.  Perennial.  Shown on FNA range map as in all but far western Northern Arizona [FNA-2].  Grand Canyon of Coconino County, Betatakin in Navajo County, and White Mountains of Apache County [K&P;, C. fragilis: “Most of the Arizona specimens are referable to var. tenuifolia,” a statement allowing the possibility that specimens at one or more of the locations given could be referred to C. f. var. fragilis].  Grand Canyon National Park: 7000-8500 feet (Coconino County) [PP&B;, C. f. var. t.].  West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon of Coconino County [DP-21(1)].

Cystopteris tenuis.  MACKAY’S BRITTLE FERN.  UPLAND BRITTLE BLADDERFERN.  Perennial.  FNA range map shows this in the northern part of this region [FNA-2].

Cystopteris utahensis.  UTAH BLADDERFERN.  Perennial.  FNA range map shows this in most of the region [FNA-2].

Dryopteris arguta.  MARGINAL WOOD FERN.  COASTAL WOOD FERN.  Perennial.  Sierra Ancha of northern Gila County [K&P;].

Dryopteris filix-mas.  MALE FERN.  Perennial.  Mountains of Coconino County and in White Mountains of Apache County [K&P;].  Grand Canyon National Park: Kaibab Basin, North Rim, 8200 feet (Coconino County) [PP&B;].  Northern Hualapai Mountains, Mohave County [JANAS-24/25].  West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon of Coconino County [DP-21(1)].

Gymnocarpium dryopteris.  COMMON OAK FERN.  WESTERN OAKFERN.  Perennial.  Bonita Creek, White Mountains of Apache County at ca. 9000 feet [K&P;].  FNA range map shows this at two locations in Northern Arizona: one correlating with the White Mountains report above, the other more central, apparently on or near San Francisco Mountain [FNA-2].

~Phanerophlebia auriculata.  EARED VEINFERN.  FNA range maps indicates this may occur in southern portion of region [FNA-2].

Polystichum lonchitis.  HOLLY FERN.  NORTHERN HOLLYFERN.  West Fork of Oak Creek, Coconino County [K&P;].  West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon of Coconino County [DP-21(1)].

Polystichum scopulinum.  ROCK SWORD FERN.  MOUNTAIN HOLLYFERN.  Perennial.  Mount Elden, at 8500 feet, Coconino County [K&P;].

Woodsia neomexicana (=Woodsia mexicana misapplied).  NEW MEXICAN CLIFF FERN.  NEW MEXICO CLIFF FERN.  WOODSIA FERN.  Perennial.  Grand Canyon of Coconino County, Lukachukai and White mountains of Apache County [K&P;, W. mexicana].  FNA range map shows this in south and east part of region [FNA-2].  Grand Canyon National Park: Bright Angel Trail, Inner Canyon, 4000 feet (Coconino County).  [PP&B;, W. mexicana].  West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon of Coconino County [DP-21(1)].

Woodsia oregana ssp. cathcartiana  OREGON CLIFF FERN.   OREGON WOODSIA.  OREGON CLIFF FERN.  Perennial.  FNA indicates that this subspecies is the taxon occuring in the region, and range map shows it throughout [FNA-2].  Grand Canyon, Kaibab Plateau, Navajo Mountain, and San Francisco Mountain, 5500-11,500 feet [K&P;, W. oregana].  Grand Canyon National Park: North Rim, 8000-8300 feet (Coconino County) [PP&B;, W. oregana].  Northern Hualapai Mountains, Mohave County [JANAS-24/25, W. oregana].

Woodsia plummerae.  PLUMMER’S CLIFF FERN.  Perennial.  Coconino and Apache counties [K&P;].  FNA range map suggests that this may occur throughout region [FNA-2].
